Usually people meditate in the morning to power up their day with a fresh start and trained mind to function properly.

But as meditators perform continuously, they tend to enjoy it more which leaves them to add another session at night.

Mindfulness Meditation
This is the most popular and easiest to start with. You can also tell it’s the default meditation.

This is really straight forward. You just need to focus on your inhale and exhale.

Whenever your mind starts wandering, simply accept them without making any judgment, then gently wash them away and return to focus on your breath.

Sleep Meditation
While you get on your bed, it is common that your mind starts recalling everything you did on that day, the mistakes, tensions which might frustrate you.

Meditation while sleeping is a great way to avoid the distraction and give you a more enjoyable deep sleep.

This will help you to start your day with a relaxed mind which makes your day a beautiful start.

Walking Meditation

You can meditate while walking.

As you know, meditation trains your brain to function properly and stay in the present moment.

That’s what you need to do.

Go for a walk in a peaceful location (let’s say you’re in a park) just walk without wandering anything.

Keep your muscles relaxed. Observe the movement of your body and feel the wind without making any judgment.

Chakra Meditation
Chakra are known to be the seven counter flow of energy placed in seven different points in the spine that are connected to organs and glands.

They are responsible for incorporating the energy to keep body and brain functioning.

The chakras are formed in a row and whenever they are blocked or imbalanced, this is believed to result in physical or mental distressing and anxiousness.

Chakras are actually religious belief which helps to balance your body and mind in the center of energy.

Yoga Meditation
Yoga is a powerful practice to relieve stress, anxiety, and improve your body shape, and boost confidence and happiness.

Just like there are many types of meditation, you’ll find lots of different yoga styles.

Yoga meditation links your body with your breathing process. It’s effective at creating awareness and also maintaining balance.


Visualization Meditation

You just have to picture something on your mind.

It might be someone or something that makes you feel good.

Then take a closer look and without any effort vividly recall the image.

I usually visualize that I’m attracting positive energy from my surrounding, into my body and brain.

This makes me feel like I’m fully energized.

This type of meditation is really effective to boost your happiness and feel more positivity around yourself.

That’s the secret of monks that let them keep smiling all day.

Gratitude is to feel grateful for what you got and express kindness and positive response towards your life and your givers.

Gratitude while meditation involves the attraction of positivity around yourself by focusing on things you are grateful for.

If you think you’re broke. Bring those awesome memories of your school life or the last time boss was appreciating you, be grateful of your parents who raised you diligently.

Just focus on them, relax and make yourself feel positive.

Mindful Eating
This is a good practice to develop healthy eating habits and consciousness while you eat which results in weight loss.

Mindful eating is the practice to stay present while you eat.

Without worrying about the past or predicting the future, just deploy your full focus and awareness into the food you’re eating.


Mantra Meditation
This is similar to the Mindfulness. It’s popular among the religions like Hinduism and Buddhism practice.

Instead of focusing on the breath, keep your attention to the sound as you chant mantras.

Mantras are the word or syllable that you repeatedly say and have your focus on the sound. For example Om – meaning PEACE

Meditators find it easier to chant mantras rather than to focus on the breath which might be a bit tough for beginners.

Body Scan Meditation
This type is one of my favorite. It’s easier and effective.

Just like the photocopier machine’s light sensor, you’ll scan your full body

You just need to concentrate on every inch of your head to gradually move your focus to your toes.

Feel the physical sensations, discomfort or aches that exist on your body.

It’s a better practice as it links your body with your brain completely without having any distraction of thoughts.
